The theme of our wedding is Sakura, the Japanese name for ornamental cherry trees. Cherry blossoms are an enduring metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life, and as such are frequently depicted in art. For us it is a celebration of spring and newness. Every year the cherry trees in our neighborhood will blossom around the same time as our wedding reminding us of the beginning of our life together.
